The Class of 2020 arrives

The newest Pioneers joined the Saint John's community!

Another school year at Saint John's has begun, and the halls and pathways are once again bustling with hundreds of students from all over Central Massachusetts. This fall brings exciting changes at the school with new Headmaster Alex Zequeira and many new faculty joining the school community.

"Big Red" senior leaders, fresh off their SJLI leadership experience, spent Freshman Orientation day leading tours and showing the newest class the ropes of day-to-day life as a Pioneer.

The class of 2020 and all transfer students had their first day on campus on Wednesday, August 31 when they arrived at Saint John's for orientation. They met administrators, visited their classes and new teachers, and toured their school with fellow freshmen and Big Reds. This popular program brings together the seasoned seniors of the school and groups of freshmen to show them the ins and outs of life at Saint John's, introduce them to the environment, and occasionally tie a few ties.

As is tradition of their introduction into the Saint John's community, the freshmen spent day two at school away from school - on a day of service. All freshmen piled into buses headed for the Community Harvest Project in Grafton working on the farm picking and cleaning vegetables and learning how the farm grows its many crops with the help of community members to distribute across the region through the Worcester County Food Bank.
