I currently teach the following courses (click the title for the syllabus):

    Algebra/Trigenometry 1

    Honors Geometry

    A P Calculus AB

  • The plan is to complete the curriculum by the first week in April. Six

packets of old AP tests will then be completed before the AP exam is

administered in May. Students will be given a schedule to follow that calls

for the practice exams to be completed in approximately three

weeks. Students are expected to work through ths April vacation.

    HONORS GEOMETRY

All students are expected to be very active participants in this Honors Geometry class.

Students will frequently be asked to present their work to the class singularly or in pairs.

We have fifteen computers in class which are frequently used to do explorations using the Geometer's Sketchpad.

All students will be expected to be able to use Sketchpad with ease. Most computers in the school have Sketchpad on their hard drive. All the computers in Room 112 are available for practice whenever I am in the room. (See extra help times).

Students with special needs (seating, extended time, etc.) should see me privately if they intend to avail themselves of these privileges.

All work done for assessment is weighed by factors of 4x, 2x, or 1x. Generally major tests are weighed 4x and quizzes 2x or 1x. Tests and most quizzes are announced in advance.

Homework is assigned and checked daily. It is weighed with a factor of 2x each interim (ie 4x or a full test each quarter).

Students should be prepared to "go the extra mile" in making preparations for this class. Class notes should be reviewed, troublesome homework revisited, and some advanced reading be done in preparation for the next day's lesson.
