2012
CAMP ST. JOHN is a recreational day camp designed for boys and girls ages five through twelve. We provide traditional camp activities such as skill-oriented athletics, camp games, crafts, swim lessons by certified Red Cross swim instructors as well as daily recreational swim. Campers are divided into groups according to their age and gender and will be placed where they may be best suited for an enjoyable camp experience. Campers will participate in activities and sports in our gymnasium, outdoor sports and games will be played on our athletic fields, or campers may enjoy some time on the playground or a swim in our outdoor pool.
CAMP ST. JOHN philosophy is to provide a nurturing environment for campers to develop skills, establish friendships and have fun.
CAMP ST. JOHN complies with all regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and is licensed by the Town of Shrewsbury Board of Health.
Parents may request copies of background check, health care and discipline policies, as well as procedures for filing grievances, at any time from the Camp Office or from the Camp Director.

Under the watchful eye of trained Red Cross swimming instructors, campers of all ages receive daily lessons in water skills and water safety. Special efforts are made to give non-swimmers confidence and ability in the water. Instruction follows American Red Cross specifications, and campers are given an opportunity to pass a swimming test at the end of each session.
Sports
Campers participate in a variety of sports over the course of each session. Sports activities emphasize fun so that children of all skill levels are able to participate fully.
Arts and Crafts
Crafts are themed and adapted toward each age group. Campers will enjoy "specials" such as Hawaiian Day, Crazy Hat Day, Pajama Day and Olympic Days.
