Overview
Lacrosse has been played cometitively at St John's since the 1980's.  It is one of the fastest growing sports at St. John's and in high schools across the country. It attracts some of the school's best student athletes, and the coaching staff encourages students to try out for the sport even if they have little or no experience. Lacrosse is a fast-paced game which encorporates many skills found in other sports, thus making it easy for a good athletes to pick up.

Practices
The teams practice every day after school from 3:00 - 5:30 pm, and on most non-game Saturdays. Typically, games are not scheduled for the Freshman team over the April Vacation.

Transportation
Buses are provided for away games.

Equipment
Students are required to purchase all of the equipment necessary to play lacrosse- Helmet, Stick, Gloves, Shoulder Pads, Elbow Pads.

Physicals:

An annual physical is required to participate.  Please be aware that physicals are only good for 1-year and the lacrosse physical must be good as of 19 Mar 2012.
