BIENVENIDOS A LA CLASE DE ESPAÑOL


My name is Mr. DeLuca. For the 2009-2010 academic year I will be teaching Advanced Spanish I and Beginning Spanish I.  I joined the faculty of St. John's High School in January of 2009. However, I have twenty-six years of experience teaching world languages and I have taught all levels from elementary through high school.  Teaching at St. John's is rewarding and fun and it is my hope that you will enjoy learning Spanish and perfecting your skills.

Learning a new language is an adventure.  Keeping an open mind and taking a bit of a risk is part of the learning process.  Together, we will enter the Spanish speaking world that permeates today's society and you will learn new communicative skills and cultural concepts that will set you on the path to becoming fluent in Spanish.   This will take practice and skill, but can also be fun and gratifying.
