Applying to Saint John's

Thank you for your interest in Saint John's High School. Saint John's uses the online platform Ravenna to manage the application process and collect all required forms as well as inquiries. Registration for admissions related events including the Placement Test and Open House will also be done through Ravenna.

Create a Ravenna account and indicate you are interested in exploring and/or applying to Saint John's in order to receive important news and announcements from the Admissions Office. A tutorial to help guide you through the grade 9 application process in Ravenna can be found here.

  • Open House #1: Saturday, September 28, 2019 - 9:00am - 11:30am 
  • PioneerFest: Saturday, September 28, 2019 after the Open House
  • Open House #2: Tuesday, October 22, 2019 - 6:00pm - 8:30pm 
  • Class of 2024 Placement Test (HSPT): Saturday, October 26, 2019 - 8:15am - 11:30am
  • High School Application Deadline: December 15, 2019*
  • Financial Aid Application Deadline: December 15, 2019
  • Middle School Application Deadline: January 15, 2020*
  • High School Admission Decisions Mailed: Mid to Late January 2020 
  • Middle School Admission Decisions Mailed: Mid to Late February 2020

Application Process

  • Grade 9 Applicants

    Log into your Ravenna account and begin the application process to Saint John's High School. The following steps must be completed online: 

    • Register for Placement Test
    • Application
    • Shadow Program
    • Student Statement
    • Parent Statement
    • Print & Turn in Transcript Request Form to current school. Transcripts should be sent directly to Saint John's. 
    • School Administrator or Guidance Counselor Evaluation (can also be a teacher).

  • Transfer Students

    Below are the steps in the transfer student application process: 

    1. Please call  the Admissions Office at 508-842-8934, ext. 266 to let us know you are interested in applying to Saint John's and to set up an interview. Interviews are required for transfer student applicants.

    2. Create or log into your Ravenna account. Saint John's utilizes Ravenna to collect inquiries and manage the application process online. Click here to create a Ravenna account. 

    3. Submit an online application along with the student and parent statement form. 

    4. Print & Submit the Transcript Request Form in Ravenna. Transfer applicants must submit a transcript release form to their current school. The school should send transcripts directly to the Admissions Office at Saint John's. Self-reported grades will initially be accepted however an official transcript from the student's prior school must be received before attending Saint John's. 

    5. Submit two teacher or counselor recommendations.

    6. Provide a letter of good conduct from your current school. 

    7. Once an admissions decision has been made, a meeting with the Assistant Principal of Academics will be scheduled to discuss level placement and a potential course schedule. 

    Please note: Transfer students are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
  • International Students

    1. Please call the Admissions Office at (508) 842-8934, ext. 266 to confirm whether we are still accepting international applicants. Space is limited for international students for each academic year. If we are still accepting applicants, we will schedule a Skype interview.
    2. Be sure to select "International Student" in Ravenna.
    3. Complete the Application Form and Supplement for International Students.
    4. Submit the Transcript Request Form.
    5. Submit two Teacher Recommendations from current teachers.
    6. Submit an official TOEFL score of 80 or above. Official scores must be sent from ETS. The code for Saint John's High School is 7440.

    International applicants, please note

    Saint John’s does not provide housing for students. Please contact a local agency to make arrangements for a homestay.

    If accepted, you will be required to complete a Certification of Finances before Saint John’s is able to process an I-20.
