Grades 7 & 8 Application Process

Thank you for your interest in the Br. Robert Treanor, C.F.X. Middle School Division of Saint John’s High School. Saint John's uses the online platform Ravenna to collect inquiries, manage the application process, and notify prospective families of important news and upcoming events. Middle School Application Process (Grades 7 and 8)

The application deadline for grades 7 and 8 is January 15, 2021. Contact the Admissions Office at (508) 842-8934 ext. 266 or admissions@stjohnshigh.org to determine if there is still available space in the class once the application deadline has passed or if you have any questions or concerns regarding the application process.

  • Create a Ravenna Account

    Saint John's uses Ravenna to manage the application process. Create a Ravenna account by submitting the Inquiry Form on our website.
  • Grade 7 Admissions Test

    The Grade 7 Admissions Test is a requirement for all current 6th-grade students seeking 7th-grade admission to the Middle School Division of Saint John's in the fall of 2021. There is a $35 testing fee.

  • Grade 8 Admissions Test

    The Grade 8 Admission Test is a requirement for current 7th-grade students seeking 8th-grade admission to the Middle School Division of Saint John's in the fall of 2021. There is a $35 testing fee. Limited space is available for students seeking admission to grade 8.

  • Application for Admission

    Complete the Application for Admission in Ravenna and pay a $40 application fee. The middle school application deadline is January 15, 2021. Contact the Admissions Office to determine if there is still available space in the class once the application deadline has passed. 
  • Student Profile Photo

    Upload a current photo to the student's profile in Ravenna. 
  • Student Statement

    The student should complete this form in Ravenna in his own words. This allows the admissions team to learn more about the applicant and why he would like to attend Saint John’s.
  • Parent Statement

    The parent or guardian must complete this form in Ravenna in order to help us get to know your family better.
  • School Transcripts

    Saint John’s requires grades from the last completed school year along with the most recent report card from the current academic year. A parent or guardian must print and sign the Transcript Request Form found in Ravenna and submit it to the applicant’s current school in order for the transcripts to be released to Saint John's. 
  • Recommendation

    The recommendation may come from a current teacher, counselor, or school administrator who knows the applicant well. In Ravenna, input the full name and email address of the person who has agreed to provide the recommendation, and a secure, unique link will be emailed directly to them. This allows the person to submit the completed recommendation form directly to Saint John’s. Only ONE recommendation is required.
  • Interview

    A formal interview is required for all students applying to grades 7 and 8. While families are welcome to set up a time to speak to the Director of Admissions about the middle school curriculum and application process, the formal interview cannot take place until all application materials have been received.

    The Admissions Office will reach out to book the interview once all other steps of the application process are complete. Interviews typically last a half-hour and involve both the student and parent/guardian.

Middle School Tuition & Financial Aid

Tuition, including all fees, for enrollment in the Bro. Robert Treanor, CFX, Middle School Division of Saint John’s High School for the 2020-2021 school year is $15,200. 

Financial Aid is available for those who qualify. There is a separate application for financial aid through Smart Aid. The deadline for new middle school families to submit a financial aid application is January 15, 2021. The Financial Aid Committee will consider applications submitted after the January deadline, but as funds are limited, it is advised that you apply as soon as possible.
