About Saint John's Hockey

Ice hockey at Saint John’s has a storied tradition. The school maintains three levels: Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshman. All teams compete against top ranked local and Division 1 high school hockey programs. In conjunction with the School’s mission, the Pioneer hockey staff attempts to foster the development of all its team members by providing a solid foundation of coaching and high-level competition to give its players the necessary skills to achieve their full potential on and off the ice.  Many alumni of the Saint John's hockey family have gone on to attend, play, and coach at the college level.

In the past thirty seasons, the Pioneers have boasted twenty-four playoff appearances including seven State Finals, eight “Super 8” appearances, and two Division 1 State Championships in 1999 and 2004.
