Historic First Win for Middle School Soccer

The Saint John’s Middle School Soccer team took to the field against Saint John’s Prep of Danvers this Saturday morning for their first ever match. Led by captains JP Devaney ‘25, Gabe Devaney ‘25, and Omkar Vaddi ‘25, SJ went down early by 1 when a PK was awarded to SJ Prep in the first few minutes of the game. SJ rebounded with a great goal by JP Devaney ‘25. Shortly thereafter, Ahsante Kamenya ‘26 also found the back of the net to make the score 2-1. In the 2nd half, SJ kept pouring on the pressure and James Blais ‘26 found the net twice with some well placed goals. SJ MS will be back on the field on Thursday when they take on Catholic Memorial on the road.
