15th Annual Gala

The 2017 Saint John's Gala celebrated the people and values that make Saint John’s High School unique and impactful.

On Saturday, April 8, 2017, the fifteenth annual Saint John’s High School Gala brought 500 alumni, families, and friends together for a night of fun and fundraising! New Pioneer families, alumni young and old, Xaverian Brothers, faculty, and friends united to help raise a record-breaking $140,000+ in support of financial aid and need-based student assistance!

Usually filled with bleachers, cafeteria tables, and students, the Coaches Pavilion and the Salem Student Commons were transformed into a sprawling auction room, cocktail reception, and magnificent dinner.

Pioneers Care

While the Saint John's Gala honors special individuals who who have contributed their time, heart, and talent to the Saint John's students and experience, is is also a fundraising event that consists of a silent auction and other opportunities to support the school and its students. This year, NESN sportscaster, Pioneer parent, and Master of Ceremonies Tom Caron, along with Headmaster Alex Zequeira, announced a new initiative - Pioneers Care - that allowed guests to donate immediately from their phones to support programs from global service trips to local retreats to athletic equipment to students in need.

The remarkable transformation of the campus is only made possible only through the dedicate efforts of parent, alumni, and staff volunteers. Their talent, creativity, and diligence made this year’s gala a night to remember for the honorees, their families, and over 500 guests. Thank you to all who sacrificed their time and talent to make this night of fundraising and celebration of the Saint John's community a reality! The gala takes months to put together, from the silent auction and live bidding to the dinner and entertainment. Check out how the days and minutes leading up to this event come together in this time lapse video of this year's gala.
