Saint John's OneCard

Saint John's High School uses a stored value card program, which requires money to be added to the student's account via the "OneWeb" payment system.

For the 2020-2021 academic year, students will use their ID cards to purchase breakfast items from the Salem Student Commons and articles from the Pioneer Shop.

IMPORTANT UPDATE (December 2019)

Due to a recent system/security upgrade, requirements for login passwords have been revised.  All passwords must be a minimum of 8 characters long and contain at least one capital letter and at least one number.  If your current password does not meet these standards, you will be prompted to create a new one.

  • Using the OneCard

    There is a Point of Sale system at each checkout line in the Salem Student Commons and in the Pioneer Shop. 

    To make a purchase, the student will present his OneCard to the cashier to swipe. The purchase amount will be deducted from the account balance and will display the new balance. 
  • Adding Funds

    Families may access student accounts via a secure website, "OneWeb".

    This website is used to add money to a student’s card, either by transferring money from a checking or savings account, or by using a credit card. 

    Parents may also use the features on the website to check account status, current balance, and may review account transaction history.
  • OneCard Policies & Procedures

    In order to maintain efficiency and security when utilizing the OneCard for on-campus purchases, students must abide by the following policies and procedures. Failure to adhere to these regulations can result in loss of OneCard privileges or other disciplinary consequences. 


    When making any kind of purchase on campus, a student must always utilize his own card.  Your card, your photograph, your money!  Once money has been added to your account, it may not be “cashed out” from your card.  At the end of the year, any remaining funds transfer over to the next school year.

    NO CARD?

    In the event that a student does not have his card, he will be unable to purchase items on campus that day.  

    If the card is lost, the student should immediately “lock” his card via the website and/or notify the Assistant to the Office for Student Life (ext. 221).  

    Replacement cards may be purchased for $10.  


    Students are required to add funds to their account online.  If a student has insufficient funds on his account, he may see the Director of Food and Beverage to make a one-time purchase as a credit. Students must add funds to their account by the next school day.

    Please note that due to numerous security and safety issues, students are no longer allowed to use their card to make purchases for other students.

  • Q: The photo on my card is wrong or is missing. What do I do?

    For security reasons, the photograph on your card must be your own. It is also the photograph that appears on the screen of the cashier’s computer. If your photograph is missing or incorrect, please see assistant to the Deans of Students.
  • Q: I have two students at Saint John's, and I was able to add money to the first student's account, but the second failed. Why?

    If you attempt to process two transactions using the same credit card for the same amount, the system will reject the second transaction as a duplicate. You can either use a different card for each transactions, enter a different amount for the second student, or wait an hour or so and enter the second transaction.
  • Q: Whom do I contact if I forget my son's PIN Code or Account Number?

    Please email to request a PIN Code reset.  Please include your son's name and date of birth in your message.
  • Q: My son lost his card.  What is the procedure for inactivating his card and ordering a new one?

    A student should report a lost card to the Assistant Principal for Student Life Office as soon as possible.   At that time, parents may login to our One Web portal and deactivate the account (under "account" tab please choose "deactivate/activate".)   Mrs. Kelly Cappucci, Administrative Assistant to the APSL, will create a new card, and the Business Office will modify the account so that the old card cannot be used.  The transaction history and funds balance will be available on the new card as soon as it is created.  Your son may stop in Mrs. Cappucci's office to pick up the new card within two to three days of request.  The new card will be activated at that time.
  • Q: How can I set the PIN for the first time?

    You must enter your son's birthdate for confirmation the first time you access his account. If you have entered the birthdate, and you were denied access, please e-mail your son's name and birthdate to and we will confirm that it matches the date we have on file.
    The PIN must have a minimum of 8 characters, contain at least 1 capital letter and 1 number.
  • Q: I don't have my card. Why can't my friend buy me lunch?

    As generous as some friends may be, the reality is people have many different reasons for not having lunch. For some, they are simply forgetful. For others, they could be pressuring other students to buy them lunch. Some students may have also exceeded the daily or weekly allotment of funds put on their account by their parents. As stated above, students who are financially unable to purchase lunch should see a Dean of Students
  • Q: My friend doesn't have his card. Why can't I buy him lunch?

    While this may seem like a reasonable and even charitable thing to do, buying others lunch opens the door for other problematic scenarios.  For example, your parents may put money on your card for lunch. You purchase lunch for a friend who gives you the money. Your parents think you are purchasing lunch just for you, and meanwhile you are collecting money from your peers. Again, in most cases and with most people the desire is well intended. However, people work hard for their money and it is our responsibility as a school community to ensure funds are being used reasonably and appropriately. The school provides other options for your friend in the rare event he is unable to purchase lunch that day.
  • Q: I'm waiting for a new card to be made. Can I not buy lunch?

    The Deans of Students will issue a temporary card to students waiting for a permanent replacement. This temporary card, which displays the student’s ID number, must be presented at the time of purchase and may only be used by the intended recipient. For temporary cards, money may only be added to a student’s account through the “OneWeb” website.
