Good morning Saint John’s students, faculty and staff.  Let us pause in our day to pray with Saint Matthias on his feast day. Saint Matthias reminds all of us that to be a true disciple we are each called to “remain” in Jesus’ love – that is, both receiving God’s love through Jesus and returning our willed love to God through Jesus.
(Pause)
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Saint Matthias, you were an apostle who was with Jesus from the time of his baptism to his ascension. Help us to remember that Jesus is always walking with us, and to rely on him in times of need. May we be reminded that there is holiness in receiving gladly the relationship with God offered by Jesus and completed by the Holy Spirit. Saint Matthias, thank you for being a witness in faith and an example for us all. Amen.
Thank you and have a fantastic day.
