SJ wins over CM in Season Opener

The SJ 8th grade soccer team kicked off the season quickly. James Blais found the back of the net in the first 2 minutes of the game after dribbling through a handful of defenders. Charlie Robitaille received a cross from Luca Conigliaro and buried it from close range to make it 2-0. The 3rd goal came from Noah Dekoschak hit a nice side volley right before halftime.

In the 2nd half, Daniel DaSilva buried a goal off of a blocked shot by Luca Conigliaro. The final goal was scored by James Blais again assisted by Daniel DaSilva. Catholic Memorial was awarded a penalty shot late in the 2nd half to make the final score 5-1. The goaltending was shared by Nathaniel Wooldridge, Nick Barbarino, and Nolan Ouellette.
