Bringing extensive experience in student life, school leadership, and mission-driven education, Michael Dibbert joins Saint John's High School as Assistant Principal for Student Life. His passion for fostering student growth through accountability, faith, and meaningful relationships makes him an outstanding addition to the school's leadership team.
Mr. Dibbert most recently returned to the classroom at Boston College High School while serving as Interim Head of Faber House. Prior to that, he held a variety of leadership positions at The American School in Switzerland (TASIS), where he provided oversight of student discipline, residential life, student support services, and advisory programming. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation for building strong relationships with students while cultivating a culture rooted in both high expectations and genuine care.
With a deep commitment to Catholic education and the formation of young people, Mr. Dibbert's leadership philosophy closely aligns with Saint John's mission of developing young men of faith, scholarship, leadership, and service. His experience supporting students both inside and outside the classroom positions him well to lead the school's student life program and continue strengthening a vibrant school community grounded in the Xaverian tradition.
"This important opportunity is an ideal match for my professional experience and personal values," said Dibbert. "I am excited to help Saint John's continue to fulfill its Xaverian mission and excel as a model school for young men whose students grow in faith and wisdom."
“One of the qualities that stood out most throughout our search process was Michael's ability to balance care with accountability,” shares Dr. Lauren Hill, Principal of Saint John’s. “He understands that helping young men grow requires both strong relationships and clear expectations, and I am confident his leadership will have a lasting impact on our students and school community."
Dr. Benjamin Horgan ‘05, Head of School, expressed his enthusiasm for Dibbert's appointment.
"Michael brings a remarkable combination of leadership experience, pastoral care, and a genuine commitment to student development," said Dr. Horgan. "His ability to build meaningful relationships while fostering accountability reflects the very best of our Xaverian tradition. I am confident that his leadership will further strengthen our student experience and help form young men of faith, intellect, and character."
Dibbert's appointment reflects Saint John's continued investment in providing an exceptional student experience where every young man is known, challenged, and supported. His leadership will play an important role in nurturing a school culture that empowers students to thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.
