Spirits were high at the 2015 Boston Alumni Reception, which drew many alums in one of the most popular Saint John's regional receptions. Dan Kenary '78 hosted alumni who live and work in the Boston area at a fantastic event at Harpoon Brewery, which he founded in 1986.

Recent grads going to school in Boston and established Pioneer alumni who have been living and working around the city for decades all got together to meet and catch up in the tasting room at Harpoon.

Dan Kenary spoke briefly on the pride he feels for Saint John's High School, and how the solid foundation that was built during his time as a student propelled him forward to be successful in business and in life. He encouraged all the alums present to consider supporting Saint John's in whatever way they can, in order to maintain the incredible tradition that has bound all Pioneer alumni - no matter their ages - together.

Alumni Director Warren Hayden '81 and Athletic Director Pat White 'H briefly addressed the crowd about how alumni involvement is what has kept Saint John's affordable and available to regular kids from all backgrounds. Headmaster Michael Welch '78, who was surrounded by many of his fellow classmates, shared a few stories about how he has seen firsthand the indellible and positive impact alumni have had on students of today, many of whom would not have had the opportunity to attend Saint John's without the support of generous individuals.
