Eurydice is a contemporary retelling of the classic Greek Myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. While still following the traditional love story of Orpheus’ descent into the underworld to retrieve his new bride, this version is told from the perspective of Eurydice. Additionally, Ruhl has added the character of Eurydice’s father to the story, thus complicating her decision to return to the land of the living with her husband, or stay in the underworld with her father. Euridice, is a theatrically, thought-provoking story of true love sure to warm the heart and the soul.
