Saint John's Summer Courses

Saint John’s Summer Courses are designed to provide incoming seventh and ninth-grade students with an enriching academic experience, focused on continued growth in the core subjects of Mathematics and English. These courses offer a supportive environment for students to strengthen their skills, build confidence, and prepare for the upcoming school year.

For Math, students will explore foundational concepts while engaging in problem-solving and critical thinking exercises aimed at boosting their mathematical abilities. The curriculum is tailored to address key topics that will ensure students feel well-prepared for the challenges of seventh or ninth grade math.

In English, students will focus on enhancing their reading comprehension, writing, and vocabulary skills through a variety of engaging activities, including literary analysis, creative writing, and grammar exercises. The course emphasizes strengthening communication skills and fostering a love for reading and writing.

Saint John’s Summer Courses combine academic rigor with a supportive, fun environment that encourages students to develop a deeper understanding of the subjects while nurturing their intellectual curiosity.

  • Pre 7th Grade

    The Pre 7th Summer Studies Program, for students entering the seventh grade at Saint John's in the Fall, is designed to solidify the educational background in English and Mathematics and to prepare students with the demands of a strong college preparatory middle and high school curriculum. 

    In addition, a focus on community building helps new Pioneers begin their journey into the Saint John’s Brotherhood.

    It is strongly recommended to and encouraged for all incoming members of the Saint John’s Class of 2031.

  • Pre 9th Grade

    The Pre 9th Summer Studies Program, for students entering the ninth grade at Saint John's in the Fall, is designed to solidify the educational background in English and Mathematics and to prepare students for the demands of a strong college preparatory high school curriculum. 

    It is highly recommended and encouraged to all members of the Saint John's Class of 2029.

Saint John’s High School has educated young men under the sponsorship of the Xaverian Brothers since 1898. Through the Saint John’s strong college preparatory curriculum, over 900 students in grades seven through twelve pursue personal and intellectual growth in an environment that is committed to the development of the whole person and recognizes a moral dimension of life through service to God and to others.
