SJ at BC High - Race Summary

SJ Harriers lose big to BC High
 
On a beautiful fall afternoon at Boston’s iconic Franklin Park cross country course the SJ thinclads were spanked by a top ranked  (#3 in the state) BC High team 18-45.
 
St. John’s top finisher was senior co-captain Tommy Robinson who placed 3rd in 17:12 over the 5k course.The Pioneer’s next finisher was senior Sev Smith in 11th place in 18:31 followed by sophomore Luke DePeter in 12th in 18:42. Rounding out the scoring for the thinclads was junior Teddy Morris in 15th place in 19:43 and senior Teddy Conboy in 17th place in a time of 19:52
 
In the JV contest BC swept St. John’s 15-50 with junior Aiden Doherty the top finisher in 21:32.
 
In the Freshmen race, BC dominated the contest with a 19 - 40 score. Jackson Mitchell finished 2nd overall in a Franklin Park PB time of 11:21 over the 3k course while classmate Blake Rice also ran a PB with a time of 12:05 to finish 8th overall.
 
The harriers next meet is at the Twilight Invitational at the Barnstable Fairgrounds this Saturday, October 14 @ 6:00 pm.
