First Night Game on Pioneer Field

On Friday, September 21, the Saint John's community opened the gates for the first ever night game held on Pioneer Field. With the recent renovations down on the Pioneer Fields, adding two new turf surfaces and stadium lighting, the Pioneers took on Leominster High School while alumni, families and friends cheered on through the night!

In the event's program, Headmaster Alex Zequeira P'19 noted:

Welcome to a historical moment for Saint John’s High School - our first home night football game! We are grateful we can share this evening with you. A special welcome to the players, coaches, and fans from Leominster High School.

For nearly 125 years, Saint John’s High School, a religious and now lay faculty and administration have kept the mission of the Xaverian Brothers alive and strong. Our school is proud to help transform boys into young men of intellect, character, and faith through a college preparatory curriculum. Yet paramount to our mission, a Saint John’s education begins with the promise to educate and care for the whole student – mind, body, and soul, and, in turn, realize and fulfill his promise to become the best version of himself. Each day, the work of our faculty, coaches, and mentors strive to instill a love of self and others, learning and inquiry, and leadership and service. By doing so, we hope our Saint John’s Pioneers will enter a brotherhood for life that transcends backgrounds, faiths, and class years.

Thank you to all of our supporters and members of our community that made this night possible. Enjoy the game!

We hope the entire Saint John's and greater communities enjoyed this game and all those to come in our future! Be sure to join us on October 13, 2018 for the first night soccer game!
