PioneerFest Weekend 2018
The weekend of September 28 was packed full of excitement and Pioneer Pride here at Saint John's!
Festivities kicked off during last period on Friday with a student run pep rally. With each class representing with a different "spirit color", it was GAME ON as each class competed in a variety of activities - pie eating contests, dizzy bat basketball challenges and the like. You should know, too, that you haven't truly laughed until you've seen a spirited round of BLINDFOLDED musical chairs! Our Sensei, Michael Bean '19, led the whole school in a rally to get everyone pumped for the weekend of athletics games and school events.
Saturday was one for the books. The morning started with an Admissions Open House for prospective families. The campus was open to explore including classroom demonstrations and presentations from a variety of faculty and staff. Immediately following, down on Pioneer Field, the excitement continued with PioneerFest 2018.
Finally, to wrap up the weekend, alumni came back to campus for our Golden Brunch - a celebration of alumni who graduated 50+ years ago. What a special morning - beginning with Mass in the Coaches Pavilion, followed by a delicious brunch catching up with old friends.
Thank you to all of the student, faculty, and parent volunteers without whom these events would not be possible. And a special thank you to Mrs. Caryn Gentile, Mr. Ed Shoro '07, and the Admissions and Advancement Teams for making PioneerFest, Open House, and the Golden Brunch such a giant success!
