Prayer of Remembrance
Good morning, St. John’s students, faculty, and staff. Let us pause in our day to pray.  Today we remember and pray for all those who lost their lives and were affected by the September 11, 2001 tragedy. Let us ask our God to guide our hearts and minds to peace.
We pray for the repose of Paul O'Leary, father of our lacrosse coach Justin O'leary and grandfather of Patrick O'Leary, class of 2022. We also remember and pray for the soul of Grace Grundstrom, grandmother of A.J.Laskowski, Class of 2022, who passed away yesterday. May they rest in peace and their grieving families comforted at this time of sadness.
(Pause)
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
O God of love, compassion, and healing, look on us, and in your goodness, give eternal light and peace to all who died. Raise up in our memory; our beloved departed, who now rest in your embrace. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. In your compassion, we ask you to bring healing and comfort to family and friends, mourning a loved one's loss. We ask this in the name of our Lord and Redeemer.
Amen.
Thank you, and have a blessed day.
