Happy Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross!
Good morning, St. John’s students, faculty, and staff. Let us pause in our day to pray. Today is the feast of the exaltation of the Cross. Often seen as a symbol of pain, burden, and death, Jesus Christ transformed this symbol into a sign of hope, life, and a call to sacrificial love. Let us ask our God for strength and grace to help all who are suffering and in pain. May our words and action bring life to all those we meet and greet.
(Pause)
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
God of love,
May we never run away from our daily pain and struggles, but instead rely on You completely;
May we accept Your call to die to sin and live as children of light;
May we all seek eternal life in You;
May all our pain and suffering be united in the glory of God;
May You bring us all into the life-giving truth.
In your holy name, we pray. Amen
Thank you, and have a glorious day.
