Good morning, St. John’s students, faculty, and staff. Let us pause in our day to pray. In today's gospel, we see Jesus traveling from town to town with a group of men and women proclaiming the coming of God's Kingdom. These are people who were seen by society as sinners and outcasts. But Jesus’s love goes far beyond human understandings and prejudices. Jesus is calling each one of us and asking us to reflect on how we see others - our brothers and sisters who are less fortunate than us.
(Pause)
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Dear Lord, Thank you for this glimpse into your own way of loving and for re-enkindling my attraction to you and for helping me to examine my own patterns. Free my heart by healing my wounds and fears. Let me exercise my desire to be with you by taking more risks to accept and love the people I hold on to in the margins of my consciousness and care. And, may my growing, grateful generosity always go to support your work, your way, with those for whom and with whom you invite me to journey. In your divine name, we pray. Amen.
Thank you and have a spectacular day.
