Good morning, St. John's students, faculty, and staff. Let us pause in our day to pray. We continue to pray for our country and see God in others, especially when they have different opinions and viewpoints. May we all have the openness and courage to accept others for who they are.
(Pause)
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
God, our Father, after all the votes are counted, we ask for your wisdom and love to guide our newly-elected officials and all public servants. May they lead us to work for greater justice and peace, and help us to better care for one another, especially our most vulnerable brothers and sisters, and for our common home on this planet. Heal our differences and unite us in our search for the common good. Make us faithful citizens of this nation, and, more importantly, of your heavenly kingdom. In your Holy Name, we pray. Amen.
Thank you and have an illustrious day.
