SJ beats Xaverian at Home

The Saint John's 8th Grade team hosted Xaverian on Tuesday afternoon. Danny Kristo led off the scoring with a nice ball by Eli White to give him a breakaway where he beat the keeper one-on-one to make it 1-0. A few minutes later Danny Kristo returned the favor, leading Eli White for a breakaway to make it 2-0 SJ wthin the first 7 minutes. Eli White then scored on a nice shot from about 15 yards out to make it 3-0. Xavieran found the net once before halftime to make it 3-1 heading into the second half. 

In the second half, Alex Geshwiler, playing in the field recieved a great ball from Vincent Plante where Alex buried a nice shot from about 18 yards out into the upper right corner of the net past the keeper. Xavieran found net one more time with a breakaway goal against Danny Kristo in net. Lastly, Rory Andrew played a great ball over to Vincent Plante where he placed it past the keeper to make the final score 5-2. 

SJ will travel to Belmont Hill on Wedesday.
