Good morning, St. John’s students, faculty, and staff. Let us pause in our day to pray. Today we pray in a special way for healing and strength of Rita Shea, wife of Gerry Shea who is undergoing a heart surgery this morning. We also pray for victims and families of the 12 people killed in a mass shooting at a California bar last night.

Loving Father, we entrust Rita to your care this day; guide the minds and hands of the medical people who minister in your Name with wisdom and skill, and grant that every cause of illness be removed, may she be restored to soundness of health and learn to live in more perfect harmony with you and with those around her. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
