Good morning, St. John’s students, faculty, and staff. Let us pause in our day to pray. Today we celebrate the feast of St. Adrian of Canterbury. Born in Africa, he was chosen by the Pope as the Archbishop of Canterbury. He declined to accept the papal request because of his desire for the simple life and spend his days as a teacher and mentor for many. As we remember St. Adrian, let us reflect on the value of simplicity where we put others before ourselves and focusing on helping others grow. We also pray for all our students and faculty who are attending the Kairos retreat that they may have a meaningful experience.

-Pause -
In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
O God, who, both by your example and precept, instructed us to be meek and humble, give me grace throughout my whole life, in every thought, and word, and work, to imitate your meekness and humility. Instill in me the whole body of pride; grant me the desire to look for You before anything else in my life. Grant, O Lord, that I may look for nothing, claim nothing; and that I may go through all the scenes of life, not seeking my own glory, but looking completely unto you, and acting wholeheartedly for you. We ask this in your holy name. Amen

Thank you and have a blessed day
