Staff: Academic Coach (Part Time)

Saint John’s is a private college-preparatory school for boys founded in 1898 in Worcester, MA, and moved to its present location in Shrewsbury, MA, in 1961. The school, sponsored by the congregation of Saint Francis Xavier (Xaverian Brothers), enrolls approximately 950 day students in grades seven through twelve from nearly 70 communities in Massachusetts.

Position Description

Saint John’s High School is looking for an Academic Coach to work with students and colleagues in the Gregory Academic Center at Saint John’s High School. This position will include working 1:1 with student learners, collaborating on small group workshops and communicating with school support staff on opportunities for academic intervention strategies to support our diverse student body learners and their needs. This is a part-time position and compensation will be determined based on experience.

The ideal candidate will have strong teaching and classroom experience as well as direct history working with learner differences and student support. A specific background in special education and a speciality such as reading or language based learning disabilities is highly desired.
