Red Soccer Wins Season Opener

The Middle School Red Soccer Team kicked off the season with a decisive win against Malden Catholic on Tuesday at Pioneer Field. Connor Girardi '31 started off the scoring right away beating the Malden Catholic keeper on the right side from about 16 yards out. Bentley Roche '30 scored off a second opportunity beating the keeper far post. Bentley then added his second goal a few minutes later from the right side this time. Next, Matteo Qirko '30 scored off of an assist from Karas Tadrous '30. Karas then scored on his own in a 1v1 situation against the goalkeeper. Lastly, Frankie Lacombe '30 scored from about 20 yards to cap off the scoring making the final score 6-0. Ryan Nazarey '31 and Dylan Gidney '30 kept a clean sheet in net as the Red Team goalkeepers. The MS Red Soccer team will travel to Xaverian next Tuesday for their next match.
