SJ Red takes down St. John’s Prep at Home

SJ Red took down SJP at home today on Pioneer Field. Bentley Roche ‘30 kicked off the scoring with 2 goals. The first was assisted by Ari Kristo ‘31 where Bentley then beat the keeper far post. The second was a solo effort, again from the left side to the far post. Jackson Doucette ‘30 scored on a beautiful header off of a cross from Frankie Lacombe ‘30 to make the score 3-0. Matteo Qirko ‘30 tallied the 4th goal for SJ when he followed up on a cross from Frankie Lacombe ‘30 where the keeper knocked it back out and Matteo finished it over the top. SJ led 4-0 at halftime, but let SJP creep back into the game in the second half. The final score was 4-3. SJ is on the road heading to St. Sebastian’s on Friday.
