Good morning, St. John's students, faculty, and staff. Let us pause in our day to pray. In today's gospel, we hear the story of Zaccheus, a tax collector hated by his people, climbing a tree to see Jesus. As a short-statured man, Zaccheus didn't let his physical inability stop him from seeing and enjoying the presence of Jesus.  May we, too, climb over our limitations, fears, and shortcomings to witness and enjoy the presence of God.
(Pause)
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Dear God, we humbly recognize our limitations and shortcomings. Grant us the courage and strength to actively seek growth in our life. And, when faced with challenges, may our eyes, ears, and hearts raise to you. Strengthen our inner life that we may be more profound, more vigorous, and spiritually taller in our love for you. In your Holy Name, we pray.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
Thank you and have a breathtaking day.
