Catholic Conference Championships - Meet Summary

Pioneers Compete Hard to Finish 4th in Catholic Conference Championships
 
On a picturesque fall afternoon under ideal race conditions at the iconic Franklin Park cross country course in Boston, MA  the Pioneer thinclads competed hard, ran to their potential and finished 4th in the Catholic Conference Championships with a 95 point tally.
 
With an exceptionally strong BC High team taking the first (4) places, and almost sweeping the competition, senior co-captain Tommy Robinson ran the best race of his career running close to a 30 second PB on the the tough Franklin Park 5k course for a hard earned 5th place finish in a very respectable time of 16:40.5.
 
Senior Severein Smith also ran his best Franklin Park course time battling hard to finish 17th in 17:47.4 while sophomore Arnav Chatterjee also ran his personal best  Franklin Park course time in 17:53 for a 20th place finish.    
 
Rounding out the scoring for the Pioneers were sophomore Luke DePeter in 23rd place in 18:24 and senior Teddy Conboy with a 31st place showing with a 19:01 time. 
 
In the JV contest, the Pioneers fished 4th overall with junior JD Welch being the top Pioneer finisher in 14th place in 20:14.
 
In the Freshmen 3k race, Jackson Mitchell secured a top 10 finish in 9th place in a Franklin Park personal best time by 13 seconds in 11:08 while classmate Blake Rice improved his Franklin Park course time by 14 seconds in 11:51 with the Pioneer Frosh team finishing 5th overall.
